Capture spirit and likeness in your sculpture commissions.
My desire is to create sculptures that evoke an emotional response be that tears of joy or connection or even being lost for words.
The sculpture of the man in the bed at the Chelsea Flower Show has brought people to experience deep
emotional connections including tears, a sense of serenity and taking a moment to pause, reflect and dream of what could be. The texture, casting medium and composition are carefully selected to help breath a sense of life and movement into each piece.
I look go beyond anatomy to convey the essence of the subject by instinctively capturing their character. My latest commision at the Chelsea Flower Show of the lady in the bath encourages people to pause and reflect, to day dream of what could be. The sculpture of the man in the bed draws people into the sense of serenity you experience when you let yourself sleep, rest and recover. The results are both life like and evocative at the same time. This solid bronze Octopus looks ready to move with purpose and glide away across its marble base.
I love engaging closely with clients, so that they can enjoy the feeling of helping to create both spirit and likeness in their commissions - be they cold cast, metal enhanced resins or foundry poured bronze.
